While they are fun to follow-and yes, they do matter to some extent, even if not necessarily for NCAA Tournament selection-normally we won’t make much note of the release of the weekly top 25 polls on Monday, but this week is an exception.
2013-14 Northeast Conference Post-Mortem
The Northeast Conference has had a good run in recent years, and remains highly competitive. On a related note, the conference tournament also remained unpredictable, and saw a champion few would have figured when it started.
Wagner already becoming a winner under Danny Hurley
It hasn’t taken Danny Hurley long to bring Wagner back into prominence. In just his second season, he has the Seahawks entering the final game before the Northeast Conference Tournament with a 24-4 record overall and a 15-2 record in conference play.
Deane Out at Wagner
Mike Deane has been fired by Wagner after the young Seahawks finished 5-26 this season.
